Wendy 02:50
I don't have many expectations I don't mind If she's blonde or brunette And I don't care If she's got any money But I wouldn't mind a girl named Wendy - Wo Wo Hope she don't have Too many expectations Hope she don't mind If I'm blonde or brunette Hope she don't care If I have any money You know I'm looking for a Girl named Wendy I'm looking for a girl named Wendy! Whistling Who are you fooling when you've known all along You may never find the answers to your hope in this song And if you don't take this as truth But let your heart loose What will happen if you don't find Wendy? What will happen if you don't find Wendy? Ah, take me home, Wendy!

about

Richard Cummins wrote 'Wendy' on a small farm Arlington, Wa - behind town over the bridge and up in the Hills... this was a magic summer of sunny days, coffee and songwriting with his musician friend Paul Hudson in the home he grew up in. We were just kids - about 22 or 23 years old around 1996 -97 - and we were going to make an epic album that was going to change the world, of course. We recorded everything we wrote that year no matter what - on a small Fostex 4 - Track tape recorder, and it never was released, of course.

Fast forward to 2023 - 26 years later - and Richard re-records probably the most Pop song he's ever written.

about

Richard Cummins Agassiz, British Columbia

Richard Cummins first sang with his Mother on a home made tape when he was roughly 3 years old, in tune. She, having grown up on 50's rockabilly and country icons like Loretta Lynn, taught Richard the guitar at an early age. But it was upon his discovery of the Beatles that made Richard obsess over music, learning guitar, bass, piano & drums and writing boxes full of songs. ... more
